Shared Earth works with over 30 producers around the world to bring you fairly traded and ethical products and gifts. It began as a small shop on Goodramgate, York which opened in October 1986, and now has seven shops to its name. Shared Earth builds and maintains partnerships with producers and disadvantaged people in developing countries which helps to keep traditional skills alive, whilst benefitting local communities and building bridges, regardless of race, religion or culture.

These little coin purses are soooo cute! The cat purse was actually a gift from my friend. I loved it so much that I asked her where she got it from. She told me about your website and that these bags are made by Indian artisans. I loved the owl design too and immediately bought it. Now, my question is, are there any more designs available? Do they make handbags in these styles? I am just dying to get hold of another one!

It has been a while since I've come across such a fabulous fair-trade product. The olive green colour doesn’t stain easily and the dimensions are perfect to carry your stuff conveniently. The cotton doesn’t bruise your skin when it brushes against you, which happens often as you shop around. But the piece de resistance is the motif, which has the simplicity and brilliance of top-notch design. The bonding among fellow humans is brought out so nicely. I'm really happy with this bag and considering the price, it is a huge bargain.
